Capo
A morning of soul searching and reflecting often leaves me staring blankly into thin air. As if the answers can be found in the stillness. On this morning I caught the glint a shiny object in the grass. Someone must have dropped it, and they would most certainly be missing it at some point that day. Will the song still be sung?
So there you sit
in a place uncommon.
A tool
intended to give another its song
Lost in the green,
waiting for a curious eye to see.
To see,
what others have overlooked.
Not only to be seen,
but to be held,
handled
and carried with worth.
Perhaps,
it will be used again.
As it was intended.
Perhaps,
it will be used beyond
it’s original purpose.
But in this moment,
it matters not.
For today,
it’s purpose
was simply
to allow itself
to be found.
