What does coaching “look” like?

Coaching takes shape through a series of conversations (usually one hour long) between a coach and a client over a number of months (duration varies by client and the focus of the work together). Between coaching meetings (held weekly or bi-weekly, in-person or over the telephone), the client pursues action items and measures progress. At times, the coach may introduce assessments and/or frameworks if relevant and useful to the client.

What is required of the client?

A strong desire and motivation to engage in the coaching process for the sake of personal improvement. Ideally there is urgency on the part of the client in working through a particular challenge. Honoring coaching meeting commitments and follow through are client requirements.
